LIJ has been operational for 28 years. In that time, we have delivered quality hydraulic and pneumatic solutions to organisations throughout the United Kingdom. Below, you’ll find examples of some of our more recent projects. They range from petrochemical and agricultural applications to food manufacturing and everything between. Please contact our team for additional information.
LIJ designed, manufactured and installed a stainless steel hydraulic powerpack unit. The cylinders were refurbished to the highest specification, to modernise the hydraulic workings of a boat lift dating back to 1875
We designed, manufactured and installed a full hydraulic system for 20 mobile vehicles.
That could be hydraulic driven and steered including a large boom and mast which could be deployed via 6 hydraulic cylinders. The hydraulic power pack, cylinders and framework where all manufactured at our Leyland factory and installed to vehicles in the south of England and also Holland
LIJ manufactured the hydraulic cylinder which is now fitted to a 30 metre wide steel river door. This holds back millions of litres of water from Tewsbury city.
Cylinder size 4,500m long, 380mm o/d, 180mm stainless steel chrome plated rod, complete with positional transducer.
We also designed, manufactured, installed and commissioned the hydraulic powerpack which supplies the power to the large cylinder
Our team were given the challenge to design cylinders and a powerpack capable of moving a 25 ton load through a 90° arc. We would need to develop a system capable of creating 75 ton of force to achieve this. LIJ’s machine department manufactured a 3 phase powerpack and hydraulic cylinders to complete the project.
For several years LIJ has manufactured hydraulic powerpacks to marine specification with C5 and C6 paint finishes plus hydraulic cylinders which are now located on ships globally.
One of LIJ’s largest projects was to design, manufacture, build and install a lubrication system to supply thousands of litres per minute to pedestals, gearboxes and turbines for a 6 mega watt drive system with 100% redundancy to all services, with full pressure, flow and temperature, monitoring via 4-20 Ma transducers.
A team of design engineers spent 12 months in design, 6 months manufacturing , 6 months installation and commissioning to complete this project.
